What about the Sapphic School - how does that work?

The course is a true delight, and it’s magic lies in the power of community. There’s nothing quite like gathering with a group of women who totally get what you’re going through - because they’re going through it too! It’s the best.

Each round runs for five weeks and we meet weekly to discuss a topic related to uncovering and expressing same sex desire. We talk about both the individual and structural reasons why it took us so long to figure out that we’re into women. We talk about how to approach sapphic dating, love, and sex, and most importantly we offer a safe space to ask the questions you’ve always wanted too but haven’t known how.

The course is liberating, joyful, fun and profound. We move through some pretty big stuff and we do it together, so that what comes next is everything you’ve ever dreamed of.

I’m scared/uncertain/not even sure if any of this applies to me?

If you’ve been thinking about this kind of stuff for ages but are still super confused and don’t feel ready to do anything about it yet, then welcome! We’re totally your people, because we’ve been there. We get it and we’re so glad you’re here.

It can take a long time to come to terms with our desires, and if you’re in a relationship with a man, have kids, or a family who don’t understand, it can feel almost impossible. But it’s not, and you get to take your time. Feel free to hang out on the edges of our community until you’re ready to step in closer. Read the content here, check out our Instagram, or join our Private Facebook Group and post anonymously. You’re always welcome to send us an email to say hi or anonymously.

You use the word Sapphic a lot. Um, what does it mean?

‘Sapphic’ is an umbrella term for women who love women. We use it a lot here at She Loves Her because it’s inclusive of trans women and women who identify as lesbian, pan and bi sexual. Some non binary, trans femme and masc folk vibe with it too. We see the meaning of Sapphic to include not just loving other women, but also loving our own womanhood, in all it’s glorious variations and expressions.

The term Sapphic derives from the famous lady loving poet who lived on the island of Lesbos from 630 – c. 570 BC.
